Dolphin MPS Therapy

Scar Release, Injury Recovery & Acupuncture-Inspired Treatment Without Needles

Dolphin MPS is a non-invasive technique that delivers low-level microcurrent to specific points on the body through a specialized device, with no needles. I use it as complementary support in two areas: scar release and injury recovery.

About Me

With 30 years of experience in holistic health and having worked with thousands of clients, I bring an integrative approach informed by Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, Ayurveda, and bio-resonance. I have completed Dolphin MPS training and use it to support my clients' natural healing process as they recover from scars and injuries.

How It Works

In acupuncture, specific points are stimulated with fine needles. Dolphin MPS uses many of the same point locations, but stimulates them with very low-level direct-current microcurrent delivered through a small hand-held probe. Nothing pierces the skin.

For scars, two devices are used: one rests on a fixed point while the other is moved step by step along and around the scar. For injuries, points are selected in the affected area and on related acupuncture points. The microcurrent application itself usually takes 15–30 minutes of the appointment.

Scar Release

Even after the skin has healed, some scars remain associated with tightness, sensitivity, a pulling sensation or restricted movement.

The Dolphin MPS scar-release technique applies microcurrent to points along and around the scar, without needles. Unlike scar creams and silicone sheets, which work on the skin's surface, it works directly on those points. It is intended to address this scar-related discomfort and restriction.

Scars that may be considered include:

  • C-section and abdominal surgery scars
  • Other surgical scars
  • Scars from cosmetic procedures
  • Scars from cuts or accidents
  • Older scars, case by case

Every scar is different, so we confirm on WhatsApp whether the technique is suitable before booking. The scar must be fully closed, with no signs of infection.

Injury Recovery Support

Dolphin MPS can also be part of a complementary approach to pain and soft-tissue discomfort after injury, such as:

  • Muscle strains and sprains
  • Sports-related and soft-tissue injuries
  • Muscle tension or restricted movement following an injury
  • Discomfort after surgery, when appropriate and medically cleared

The aim is to help manage discomfort and support movement while your body goes through its own healing process.

It does not replace medical assessment, physiotherapy or rehabilitation, but it can work alongside them. Recent, severe or undiagnosed injuries should be assessed by a healthcare professional first.

FAQ

Is Dolphin MPS the same as acupuncture?

No. It is an acupuncture-inspired technique that uses familiar Traditional Chinese Medicine point locations, stimulated with microcurrent instead of needles.

Does it hurt?

Most people feel mild tingling or warmth, or very little at all. Intensity is adjusted for your comfort.

Can it be used for old scars?

Many older scars can be assessed. Suitability depends on the individual scar and its condition.

Is it for injuries as well as scars?

Yes. Soft-tissue injuries such as strains, sprains and sports injuries are one of the two main focuses of this service.

How many sessions might I need?

It varies by person and condition. We review after your first session whether continuing makes sense.

Is it suitable for everyone?

No. It is not used during pregnancy or on people with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices. It is also not applied to the front of the neck, the mouth, open wounds, infections or areas affected by cancer. Some other conditions require medical clearance, which is why I review your health history before each session.
